Year End Newsletter

Greetings Comrades,

As we approach the new year I figured like so many other organizations that it is time to let all of you to know about how we're doing and what to expect in the new year.

We are a growing label! In 2010 the label has added three bands to it's roster, Mustash, JFn'K, and Dinosaur Monster! JFn'K's debut EP Back And To The Left is out and doing well! The CDCC catalog has been updated and is available to download here! Dinosaur Monster and Mustash are both in the studio working towards spring releases. DandyLyon Whine are in the writing process and is looking to put out a release in mid to late 2011. If we get lucky there might even get that Einhueser release we've all been looking forward to.

Don't forget that CDCC is part of the Axis Mundi Collective, a community of local Detroit musicians and artists. The collective is now looking into putting together another compilation CD. If you missed it, check out the first one here. There is also talk of an Axis Mundi festival in either may or June. I'll keep you all informed.

It should be noted that I am looking for some help with the label. I've been keeping myself pretty busy running things on the back end, in the studio, recording, mixing, mastering, looking for talent, booking, promoting, playing, and all that stuff. It should also be noted that in my other life, the one away from the label, things are about to get really busy. All of this leads me to need an advisor on hip. I need someone who's 'in the scene' to give me the lowdown, let me know where I need to book, where I should have music for sale, and what words to use instead of 'hip' and 'lowdown.' The fact is that even when I have the time to be looking I'm still the last to get on the bandwagon. So if you're in the audience and you like what we do, well help us out. Let me know what's up and we'll take this town by storm. (ugh. I'm so dreadfully uncool)

Alright, so I'll leave you with some stats. One of those behind the scenes things I got done this year was to put all the stuff in the current catalog up on youtube to view. They all went up within a week of each other except for 'Zombie Apocalypse,' and 'Cutlass,' which are the only two with a proper video. Poor "Bloodcrush," and "Architect."
